Since 2005 my live events company hosting events across the UK

From its modest early days as the Magpies Nest co-founded in a pub in Islington, North London, my wonderful team alongside me as the Artistic Director, have grown the Nest Collective to become a small powerhouse of boutique and sometimes large scale events. Our mission is to bring people together to experience extraordinary music in unexpected places, rekindling connections with nature, tradition and community. In all that we do, we are driven by our core values: community, sustainability, partnership and innovation.

With my formidable team of 10 we program and host over 150 events per year across the country including many much loved series. The Nest’s core program includes the now infamous and sell out series Singing With Nightingales (April & May), The Campfire Club (May – September) our Magpies Nest Festivals, many Nature Pilgrimages & walks, Fire Choir (protest and social justice community choir every Monday in Kings Cross), Amplify – our artistic development program, the programming of several festival stages and events (inc Shambala, Cambridge Folk Festival, Charleston Festival, Kew Garden, Punch Drunk, English Heritage etc) and many other places too.

The Nest Collective is recognised for creating immersive music experiences that showcase the finest diverse talent in global folk and break new ground in cultural programming. Known as “the torch-bearing folk club for the new generation” (The Times), we take audiences on journeys of discovery, built around deep music listening, nature connection and shared creative experience. Our eclectic programme encompasses music, dance, story-telling, and nature connection and unbelievably over 65% of our projects take place outdoors.

The Nest Collective is a driving cultural force in environmental advocacy and activism; undertaking an important bridging role between the culture and environmental sectors, and engaging communities and organisations in this area, including Julie’s Bicycle, Music Declares Emergency and Friends of the Earth.
